a really stupid thing happened just now.
see what happened was tt i was wandering and haunting the streets of hong kong when something momentous caught my eye.

it was yellow and monstrous. it wore a shirt which was barely able to cover a rotund stomach. and to make it even more terrifying.

homer simpson was eating a purple donut.

the simpsons movie was out!!!!

so me, being the simpsons fan tt i was ( i can prove tt, i just bought 3 seasons three days ago.), i ran towards it and made the snap decision to buy the DVD.

so there was me, brining the dvd to the counter when the tricky part began.

see when i go out, i am always in the company of my beloved and trusty ipod. and usually it's playing loud music tt usually drowns out everything else. this usually insludes the loud chatters of the crowd in hong kong. which is a great job, cause usually nothing can drown it out.

so i was not listening to what the shop keeper and when she mumbled something out in cantonese, i could only stare blankly at her.

i understand cantonese, (well i gotta in order to survive boredom in hk) but at that moment the music was blocking what she was saying. (fyi, it was show me the money by pete pablo)

she repeated again, and me being the dazed kid , went in english, " i don't get you."

the lady then realized ,( so so she thinks ) that i was a foreigner and went into english, but i already figured tt somehow she said tt she was going to get a new copy for me.

total dork.

kinda makes me think about the time i received a call with some girl talking in chinese about a survey and i replied her , in perfect chinese, tt i didn't understand chinese.

melvin, STOP LAUGHING! i know u are out there sniggering in your piano!

then when she gave me the dvd she asked me something in complete gibberish.

later i realized tt was english. she was asking if i was korean or something.
i replied, "sorry lady, i dun get u.:"in english.

she then went to the guy next to her and commented tt something u can't tell if a person speaks english or cantonese.

which i understood, perfectly.



let's see......today is the 6th. almost three more weeks before i get back.
